Year 7-9 Parent Information Session: Ctrl Your Scroll
Description
Hosted by Loreto College Ballarat, we would like to invite you to attend a special parent workshop on Tuesday 24 March at the Mary’s Mount Centre at 6:00 pm with Ctrl Your Scroll.
Ctrl Your Scroll works with students, families and educators across the country to support healthy, confident engagement with the digital world, helping families to navigate online life with clarity and confidence.
Date: Tuesday 24 March, 6:00 pm
Venue: Loreto College Ballarat - Mary’s Mount Centre (Gate A)
Duration: 60 minutes
Overview of the Session:
What recent social media changes and U16 restrictions mean for households.
How to talk openly with your young person about their online life without conversations becoming tense or conflict-driven.
Practical approaches your family can implement immediately to support digital wellbeing.
Recent national restrictions on social media for young people under 16 have created a period of adjustment for many families. Regardless of your viewpoint, the changes can bring challenges: holding boundaries while maintaining trust, responding thoughtfully when your child pushes back, and supporting them through a transition that may feel isolating or unfamiliar.
This session aims to provide clarity, tools and reassurance during this time of change. Ctrl Your Scroll founders and presenters Thomas Clark and Xavier Chalkley will also take questions at the conclusion of the session.
