Parent Seminar: Bedtime & Beyond
Sleep and parenting support for families with children aged 4- 8
Bedtime battles, repeated requests, screen struggles and lengthy settling can leave the whole family feeling exhausted. But bedtime difficulties are often about much more than sleep.
Join Tara Mitchell, former paediatric nurse, Circle of Security Parenting Facilitator and founder of The Gentle Sleep Specialist, for a reassuring and practical parent seminar exploring the factors that can make evenings challenging for children aged 4–8.
Tara will help parents better understand how children’s sleep can be influenced by emotional development, growing independence, nervous system regulation, family connection and the demands of modern life.
You’ll learn practical ways to:
Reduce bedtime battles and lengthy settling
Create calm, predictable evening routines
Set and maintain boundaries with confidence
Respond to bedtime anxiety, worries and difficulty separating
Manage screens and reduce reliance on devices
Navigate pushback, repeated requests and negotiations
Strengthen connection while encouraging independence
Help your child fall asleep feeling safe and secure - without bribes, threats or endless negotiations
This session is designed to provide parents with greater understanding, practical first steps and reassurance that they don’t have to navigate these challenges alone.
We look forward to welcoming you to this valuable session that aims to support your family.
