Parent Training Workshop: Power in the Pause
Description
A punchy, myth-busting workshop designed to put women back in the driver’s seat
Menopause affects every woman differently, yet many of us aren't given the information we need to understand it. Join Kiind and guest speaker Sarah from Luma for our Parent Training Workshop, Power in the Pause: Thriving through Peri/Menopause. Together, we’ll explore the menopause journey and the tools, supports and knowledge available to help you thrive.
Luma is one of Australia’s leading not-for-profit organisations specialising in women’s health and wellbeing. For more than 45 years, Luma has provided safe, supportive and accessible healthcare and wellbeing services to women and families across Western Australia.
We’ll break down the science of menopause in plain language, explore the symptoms and changes that are often overlooked, and look at how informed choices can support your brain, bones, heart and overall wellbeing through midlife and beyond.
By the end of this workshop, we hope you will:
Better understand hormones, what they do and why they are important for your health and wellbeing
Have a greater understanding of the menopause journey and the changes you may experience
Increase your awareness of health checks and preventative care that may be relevant to you
Know where to find reliable information, healthcare and support services
Feel more informed and confident in making decisions about your health and wellbeing
Expect clarity, confidence and zero shame, just practical information and tools to help you feel informed, empowered and supported through every stage of the menopause journey.
