Parent Workshop - The Car Ride Home
Event description
GSAS is hosting former Wildcats Captain Brad Robbins to present an important topic - the car ride home. We are opening limited tickets to the public as we believe the conversations had around athletes' games, trials and triumphs are crucial in building their confidence and maintaining their love of the sport.
The write up for the presentation is: "The Car Ride Home is a powerful and relatable workshop that looks at one of the most influential moments in youth sport - the chat that happens after the game/event. Led by former Perth Wildcats Captain Brad Robbins, the session explores how post-game conversations between parents and young athletes can shape confidence, mindset, and enjoyment of sport. Drawing on his experiences as a professional athlete, coach, and parent, Brad shares real stories and practical tools to help parents reframe the way they communicate after games and trials. The workshop encourages positive, empowering conversations that build resilience, connection, and long-term love for sport, both for the athlete and the family."
Only 20 tickets are available for the public to purchase.
