QoA Parish Pilgrimage Retreat 28 Jun 2025

Building upon the inspiring Our Lady Queen of Apostles (QoA) Parish Retreat @ FAST24, join us this June for our parish pilgrimage to the Schoenstatt Shrine.

Date: Saturday 28th June 2025

Time: 10 AM to 2 PM.

This event follows the previous Parish Retreat theme "Pilgrims of Hope, Apostles for Today," and invites us to reflect deeper on our faith journey and aspirations as a parish community: to look forward to growing together as "Pilgrims In Hope".

Take part in the Holy Mass celebrated by Fr Paul Manikathan SAC PP. Enjoy a potluck lunch and community fellowship (please bring-a-dish to share). And attend the retreat workshop led by Sr M. Lisette Dreis.

Free of charge (Donations welcome).

Registration is essential! Open to Our Lady Queen of Apostles Parishioners, family members and friends of Riverton Parish.

Please register by Sunday 22nd June 2025 to avoid missing out on this Jubilee Year event.

Note:

Previous participation in the Parish Retreat @ FAST24 is not a requirement.

Some activities may not be suitable for very young children. Children under 12 years old must be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times.

Consent Form for U-18 youth participants:
A Parental Consent Form is required for Unaccompanied Under-18 youths who wish to attend. Download the PDF form here, fill in the form, ask a parent/guardian to sign it, and register for a "Child/Under-18" ticket online. Email a copy of the signed form to the Parish Office email address, which can be found in the parish bulletin or website.

What to bring (information for all participants):
1) Bring a dish to share for the potluck lunch. You are encouraged to bring your own cup or water bottle, so that we can reduce our reliance on disposable cups.

2) Bring your own portable outdoor chair in case there aren't enough chairs.

3) Dress appropriately for winter weather. Bring your own umbrella or raincoat in case of heavy rain.

4) You are welcome to bring family and friends, but please register them beforehand.

Transportation:
Parking is free at the Schoenstatt Shrine. But if you do not drive, or if you do not have access to a suitable mode of transportation, you may contact the Parish Office to let us know about your situation. We can try to arrange a car pool for those who need help with transportation between the parish and the Shrine.
