Park JAM Sunday Morning Strum 2026

What to expect:

Come and play in a circle with other musicians.  These are casual outdoor (if weather permits) strums under a shady tree somewhere nice to play so they are all acoustic. There will be no power available and any amplification you may need will be minimal. Only specialised players will need their own amplification, for example, if you are a keyboard or bass player.

There will be 2 sets of 9 songs with a short break in between.  We will select songs randomly from Park JAM songbooks. This month we are playing from the Southwest Strum Songbook 2025,

There is a link is on the confirmation email and the ticket confirmation page allowing access to Google Classrooms. There are no support materials for these songbooks. There is a Spotify playlist for you to play along with.  The songs are generally easy to play or learn if you don't already know them.

9.30am: arrive and set up

10am - 10.45am: Set 1

10.45am - 11.15am: Short Break

11.15 - 12 noon: Set 2

Who are we:

We are a once-a-month group of players who meet mostly in the Vic Park Area (Perth Western Australia). We are easy going cruisey people and we like to sing and play a variety of songs from different eras of a strummy nature, sing our hearts out, and add some harmonies if we can.

It's not just for guitarists; ukulele players and singers are also welcome.  We are unplugged except those asked to lead vocal, bass, lead or anything else that compliments the arrangements.  If you play any other instruments that will complement the set list please let me know once you have received it.
