Cycling through G.S. Kingston Park / Wirrarninthi (Park 23) in the western Park Lands

Walk, run or ride a loop around Adelaide completely through your beautiful Park Lands! Join the main 9am hosted walking group or go at your own pace in your own time. This event is easily adapted to suit your needs.

Adelaide is uniquely encircled by a figure-eight of Park Lands. A lap around the city is about 14km - a perfect distance for a lovely spring walk, run or ride!

NOTE: for cyclists, there is a slightly different route that goes around (rather than through) the Botanic Garden (no bikes allowed).

On Sunday 4th October 2026 our friendly hosted walking group will depart from Himeji Gardens at 9am sharp, walk the 14km loop of the CBD (not North Adelaide) in an ANTI-CLOCKWISE direction aiming to finish back at Himeji Gardens by about 1pm.

We will stop halfway at Cafe Bonython in Bonython Park.

Join this 9am hosted walking group OR do your own loop at a time of your choosing, either walking, running or cycling.

Feel free to pick your own adventure: add in North Adelaide for a longer route; just do a few kilometres; cycle several laps; come along in wheelchair; jog with a pram... the how and how far is up to you!

Either way, wear some green, take photos on the way to post using #parklandsloop, and keep an eye out for fellow loopers!
