Event description

Give your child the chance to explore the fascinating world of insects this school holiday with our outdoor program! They'll investigate why some bugs are brightly colored while others blend in, discover how bees see, and learn about the wonders of invertebrates. Through bug hunts, nature walks, and hands-on activities like creating an insect hotel and insect-inspired art, your child will gain a deeper understanding of the important role insects play in our ecosystem.

This program offers a day full of adventure, learning, and fun!

Activities include:

  • Eye-opening nature walk focusing on the role of insects in the environment
  • Bug hunt or dip net session
  • Nature games and art activities
  • Learn how to make cordage and create your insect hotel

This program is suitable for children aged 5 – 12 years.
