Parks Week
Active Maribyrnong is collaborating with organisations across Australia and New Zealand to hold events in celebration of the vital role parks play in creating liveable cities and thriving communities. Parks Week 2024 will focus on the how spending time in our parks and open spaces positively influences our wellbeing.
Program Description:
Pilates focusses on strength, flexibility and overall body awareness. It involves breathing techniques to improve posture and core strength. To promote Parks Week, we will host Pilates in the park for all levels emphasising the benefits for physical, mental wellbeing in a natural setting. Join the program, to enjoy the fresh air, sunshine while engaging in this mindful exercise.Â
When and where:Â
Thursday 7 March 2024 at 10.30am at Robert Barrett Reserve.
Can meet 5-10 minutes prior to class at Maribyrnong Aquatic Centre and walk over with instructor.Â
What to bring: Mat, Towel and water bottle
Cancellation policy - Inclement weather
• In the case of inclement weather and a program needing to be cancelled, you will be notified via email with at least 2 hours warning prior to the commencement of your program.
• If you do not receive a cancellation email, it means the program is still being delivered.

Please notify the facilitator at the start of the session if you have any injuries or restrictions to movement so that these can be accommodated.
