Parramatta Gaol Inmates and Dark History Tour

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Have you wanted to visit Parramatta Gaol, but when the lights were on*?

We are passionate about the history of this prison, which when it closed its large, iron gates, was the oldest serving correctional facility in Australia.

Come along for this two hour adventure where you get to learn about the dark history and the inmates who spent time behind its walls... what crimes they committed, what they looked like, and what life was like in gaol for some of them. You will also learn about the history of the gaol, and wander around and check out these wings - of a gaol which, when it closed down in 2011, was the longest serving gaol in Australia!

Due to the adult content in this tour, it is recommended for 16+ years. The crime mentioned are not for young ears....

*We will have lights on when we can. In some areas, the lighting is low or does not work, but we will do what we can.
