PARSA Mount Stromlo Observatory Tour and Star Gazing

Join PARSA for a trip to Mount Stromlo Observatory + star gazing activity before the semester starts!
PARSA is taking postgraduate students to visit Mount Stromlo Observatory located in ANU research school of astronomy and astrophysics on the 6th of February. This visit includes a welcome by professional astronomers, a behind the-scenes of the site, a question and answer session hosted by ANU astronomers, hands-on activities within the visitor centre and stargazing. You will also receive a snack and drink package prepared by PARSA officers. Return bus from ANU is also provided.

19:15 Bus departs from ANU Drill Hall Gallery to Mount Stromlo
19:45 Bus arriving Mount Stromlo
20:00 Tour begins
22:00 Tour finishes
22:15 Bus departing from Mount Stromlo
22:45 Bus arriving back to Drill Hall Gallery, ANU
Please wear weatherproof clothing, as it can be windy and cold on the Stromlo mountain at night.
Please note: Stargazing during evening visits depends on weather and may not always be possible and will instead be replaced with other age-appropriate activities. The astronomers will always make an effort to provide an exciting and interactive experience, regardless of weather conditions and limited viewing.
Ticket Price $15 per student. This activity is for ANU postgraduate student only.
