PARSA Parents and Carers' Family Zoo Trip
Event description
Get the family together for a ROARSOME day out at the zoo!
PARSA invites ANU postgraduate students with caring responsibilities along to a day of wild fun at the National Zoo and Aquarium, Canberra. Come meet your fellow students and PARSA representatives for a family-friendly, self-paced exploration of the 47 acre grounds housing over 200 animals, followed by complimentary cake and coffee.
Already have a zoo membership or pass? Register below and come along for the fun with us free of charge.
The zoo also features BBQs, picnic lawns, a bistro, a parent room, and a playground that’s sure to excite kids young and old! Free parking is available on the premises. The venue has ramps and wheelchair accessible bathrooms. Please note there are not many opportunities to refill water bottles along the way. Although there is some shade, hats and sunscreen are recommended.
The event will proceed in the instance of scattered rain, but tickets will be refunded and/or the event will be postponed for moderate rain or otherwise inclement weather.
Price is $15 per adult, and free of charge for family member under age of 18.

09:30 Check-in with PARSA Parents and Carers’ Officer and Social Officer at main gate and begin exploring the zoo and aquarium.
11:00 Regroup at the front café for complimentary coffee and cake, then feel free to continue exploring.
