Join PARSA Womens* for a walking tour around Canberra - run by 'She Shapes History'

Find out about the history of Canberra with your postgraduate peers, and some delicious nibbles and drinks!


Guided by a local with a great sense of humour and tons of Canberra facts to share, you'll explore the city's oldest suburbs and learn about the role pubs and hotels of the Inner South played in the city's cultural and political development. This tour will take you off the beaten path and leave you with memories, knowledge of Canberra's early history and at least one funny joke.



What to bring?

  • Rug up! This is an outdoor walking tour so bring a thick jacket, scarf, gloves, beanie, layers, or a small dog under your coat…whatever warms you up.
  • Wear sunscreen and a hat. We know we just told you to rug up, but Canberra has an above-average number of sunny days a year.
  • Walking shoes. Over 3 hours, we will be walking 3kms, so wear comfy shoes.
