Participatory Community Building Training- Southern Adelaide

MarionLIFE & the Southern Community Connections team are gathering the people & spaces that encourage belonging & contribution for community in Southern Adelaide. We want you there! 

This 2-day participatory community development training will provide participants with tools and skills to:

• work together for common outcomes
• harness the strengths & possibilities found in relationships
• engage with your communities to encourage participation and quality input

The training will be facilitated by the very skilled team from The Jeder Institute

Who is it for?

Anyone who wants to explore the power of collective creativity and collaboration with each other and within their communities in Southern Adelaide, including but not limited to:

• Community members & active citizens
• Community & Neighborhood centres in the South
• Business leaders, social entrepreneurs, community and not for profit leaders, community organisers, and their teams
• Next generation leaders and other young activists
• Department leaders, policy officers and program managers

If you are registering as a professional from an organisation/Department, we ask that you limit staff numbers to two or three per org, but bring along with you as many participants and community members as you can!

Details:

When: November 28th & 29th, 2023

Time: 9:30-4pm

Where: 26 Jetty Rd, Brighton (Lighthouse Community Church- we thank them for the kind offering of their building for this gathering!)

Cost: Free. We would love to see many Southern community members, groups, and organisations represented!

Transport:

Lighthouse Community Church can be accessed via Train or Bus from across the South.

Bus: closest bus stop is 35B Jetty Rd 

Train: Hove station (6 minute walk/ 450 metres) or Brighton station (6 minute walk/ 450 metres)

MarionLIFE Bus: If you are unable to take any of the above transport options, pending demand, we will drive our mini-bus from MarionLIFE (Cnr Marion Rd & Alawoona Ave, Mitchell Park) each morning, and drive back in the afternoon. Please email info@marionlife.org.au if you would like to register your interest for this option. We may consider pursing other community bus options if there is demand from the outer south or other council areas also.
