BSL Talks - Partnering for a Poverty Free Victoria
Event description
Partnering for a Poverty Free VictoriaÂ
The Brotherhood of St. Laurence (BSL) is working towards an Australia free of poverty. This includes a Victoria
free of poverty.Â
Around 13 percent of Victorians currently live in poverty, with the rates highest in regional and rural areas.Â
To strive towards the eradication of poverty across Victoria, we recognise the importance of partnering with
government, the business sector, workers, and the broader community sector.Â
You’re invited to attend a special LIVE edition of BSL Talks at State Parliament Victoria where we
bring together leading voices to discuss what is needed, how we can get there, and who else needs to be
involved.Â
Join Hutch Hussein, BSL’s Senior Manager Government Engagement in conversation with:Â
- Travers McLeod, BSL Executive DirectorÂ
- Danielle Wood, CEO Grattan InstituteÂ
- Emma King, CEO VCOSSÂ
Please note: Attendees will need to arrive at least 15 minutes early and bring Photo ID for the Victorian Parliament visitor registration process.Â
