Event description

The recent State of the Environment report provided a comprehensive assessment of Australia's environment. While the results painted a dire picture, there was also an undertone that research and universities will be integral to environmental recovery. This panel discussion focuses on the collaborative partnerships that QUT has in place with both industry and government and the leadership required to ensure that our research, education and operational outcomes are focused on and leading us towards a sustainable energy future. When you register for this event, you will be invited to submit a question for the panel.

Join award winning journalist and MC, Sally Eeles as she leads a Q & A style panel discussion with:
  • Assistant Minister for Hydrogen Development and the 50% Renewable Energy Target by 2030, Mr Lance McCallum MP,
  • QUT Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Margaret Sheil AO,
  • QUT's Associate Professor Sara Couperthwaite (Lava Blue Centre for Predictive Research into Specialty Materials (PRiSM)),
  • Mayor Barcaldine Regional Council, Cr Sean Dillon and
  • Executive General Manager Future Energy, CS Energy, Emma Roberts
as they answer your questions and provide insights into the partnerships powering a sustainable future.
