Description
Get ready for a day of polo, live music, entertainment and great fun at Port Hills Polo Club in Tai Tapu.
Party at the Polo is an R18 event, with a designated Family Area available for families with children. Children are permitted within the Family Area when accompanied by a parent or guardian.
Whether you’ve followed the sport for years or have never seen a polo match before, this is your chance to experience the speed, skill and excitement of polo up close while enjoying a relaxed social day with friends, family or workmates.
There’ll be plenty happening both on and off the field, including thrilling polo matches, live music and DJs, plus our Horse vs Sports Car vs E-Wheel race to see which comes out on top.
Food and drinks will be available throughout the event, with The Tap providing all food and bar options on site. Social and corporate sites are also available for groups wanting their own space beside the action.
When the polo finishes, the day doesn’t have to. Head to The Tap from 7 pm for the official After Party, with live music carrying the celebrations into the night.
Please note: The event is R18 except for the designated Family Area, where children may attend with a parent or guardian.

Party at the Polo – Terms & Conditions
By purchasing a ticket or attending Party at the Polo, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
1. Tickets & Refunds
Tickets are non-refundable except where Party at the Polo is cancelled due to weather conditions preventing polo from being played.
No refunds will be provided for change of mind or inability to attend.
2. R18 Event & Family Sites
Party at the Polo is an R18 event, except for children attending as part of a designated Family Site.
Children are permitted within a Family Site when accompanied and supervised by a responsible parent or guardian.
Children must remain within the designated family area unless accompanied by their parent or guardian and must not enter any area designated as R18 or restricted under the event’s alcohol licence.
3. Weather
Party at the Polo is an outdoor event and may be affected by weather.
The decision on whether polo can be safely played will be made by the event organisers and Port Hills Polo Club.
Any cancellation or significant changes will be communicated to ticket holders as soon as reasonably possible.
4. Event Programme
The advertised programme, including polo matches, entertainment, live music, DJs and other activities, may be changed if necessary.
5. Alcohol & Food
Alcohol may only be brought into, purchased, supplied or consumed in accordance with the event’s alcohol licensing requirements.
Guests must comply with all instructions from event organisers, bar staff and duty managers regarding alcohol.
6. Entry & Behaviour
Attendees must follow all event, venue and alcohol licensing requirements.
The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry or remove anyone who is intoxicated, abusive, behaving dangerously, or failing to follow reasonable instructions from event staff.
7. Social, Family & Corporate Sites
Site holders are responsible for providing and setting up their own marquee or gazebo unless otherwise agreed with the organisers.
Site holders are responsible for the behaviour and supervision of guests within their allocated area and must follow all event and venue requirements.
8. Corporate Sites
Corporate sites are priced at $3,500 for approximately 50–100 people.
Where a polo team is included with a Corporate Site, the cost of playing shirts is not included in the site price and will be charged separately.
9. Photography & Video
Photography and video may be taken throughout Party at the Polo for promotional and marketing purposes.
By attending the event, you acknowledge that you may appear in photographs or video taken at the event.
10. Safety
Attendees must follow all safety instructions from event organisers, officials and staff, particularly around horses, polo fields and restricted areas.
Parents and guardians are responsible for the supervision and safety of children attending within Family Sites.
11. Acceptance
By purchasing a ticket or attending Party at the Polo, you acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions.
