Party Like It's 1988!

In 2023, Catherine House is celebrating 35 YEARS OF SUPPORTING WOMEN - this is no small feat, and would not be possible without our incredible supporters. We invite you to celebrate with us at our dance party!

Be transported back to the eighties (the decade Catherine House was founded in) with a night of entertainment, dancing, eighties fancy dress and more! Held at the iconic Queen's Theatre, ticket prices will include hours of entertainment from award-winning DJ Choons & Moovz, hosted by Motherhood - A Beautiful Nightmare presenters Shanelle Franklin and Tamara Linke. 

Ticket price includes: 

• Entry to the iconic Queen's Theatre. 
• Access to the bar (drinks not included in ticket price). 
• Hours of entertainment from award-winning DJ Choons & Moovz playing your favourite 80's and female empowerment hits.
• Hosts from Motherhood - A Beautiful Nightmare, Shanelle Franklin and Tamara Linke.
• A sneak-peek into Tania from Choons & Moovz's upcoming Fringe show, Singapalooza! Singapalooza is a happy-go-lucky choir created for anyone who loves belt out a tune. Think karaoke but on a much bigger scale, where instead of just you up there alone holding a microphone, you become part of a crowd choir, with everyone joining in on your favorite tunes, sharing the experience with friends and strangers alike.
• Prizes for best 80's dress (for individuals and groups).

This event is for ages 18+ ONLY. 

Please note this is NOT a seated event.

The venue is accessible with accessible amenities and ramps onto footpaths. There are no steps within the venue. Please note there will be flashing lights and fog machines present at the event.

Catherine House was founded in 1988 by the Sisters of Mercy to address an unmet need for women experiencing homelessness in Adelaide. Supported by the South Australian Housing Trust and the Adelaide City Council, Catherine House opened with just 12 rooms. We have come a long way since then, now supporting 54 women each night across our programs and services, and providing outreach support to many more. We wouldn't be here today if it wasn't for the unending support and generosity from the community. Thank You.
