As part of this anniversary, we warmly invite you to an anniversary dinner honouring the Society’s journey and contribution to the region’s cultural life.

A Legacy of Art in Portland

For almost five decades, the Portland Art Purchase Society has presented the Annual Portland Art Exhibition — a much-anticipated showcase of regional creativity and a highlight on the NSW arts calendar. Held each March at the historic Crystal Theatre, the exhibition draws hundreds of artworks and art lovers from across the region.

Proceeds from exhibition entry fees and art sales are reinvested into local arts programmes, school art prizes and community initiatives — nurturing artistic talent throughout the Central West.
