This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Come along to meet the candidates for the seat of Pascoe Vale in the 2022 State Election. All candidates for the lower house are invited and this event is free and open to the public.

What climate-related questions would you like to ask the candidates? What actions and policies relevant to climate are important to you? We will be gathering questions from the public for our forum Chair to ask the candidates on the night. Priority will be given to pre-registered questions.

Our Chair, Imogen Jubb, has a background in climate change, education, science communication and sustainability, providing advice to organisations including the Australian Conservation Foundation, the Bureau of Meteorology, CSIRO and Beyond Zero Emissions. (see below for a fuller bio).

Places are limited for in-person attendance, so be sure to register and please also let us know if you can no longer make it so we can free up your spot for someone else.

Please note that:

  • Doors open at 6:30 for a punctual start at 7pm.
  • Free tea and coffee will be provided.
  • Only those who are free of cold and flu symptoms should come.
  • We encourage people to wear masks indoors.
  • This event will be live-streamed by Climate Action Merri-bek
  • We would be very grateful for any of your gold coin donations to cover the cost of the venue hire
