For anyone who attended school since the 90's - the greenhouse effect, climate change, and the clock ticking them along are all universal truths. Despite extensive public knowledge and unprecedented environmental disasters, each year of inaction can feel like another lost opportunity. This special birthday edition of PASS PAUSE PLAY will touch-base with three songwriters navigating and challenging this in their work. PASS PAUSE PLAY #10 will feature: Emily-Rose Sharkova, Dovetale, and Ally Morgan.

EMILY-ROSE SHARKOVA
Emily-Rose Sharkova is one of Australia’s most vivacious musical chameleons. Her songs and soundscapes are a kaleidoscope dream of contemporary folk, where song-writing meets world jazz and electro-acoustic experiments.
DOVETALE
Dovetale weaves themes of love and revolution into honest folk-rock ballads, led by Gadigal-based multi-instrumentalist Tom Hume. Dovetale is a solidarity project, upholding the struggles of the oppressed and exploited, while seeking to advance our revolutionary consciousness.
ALLY MORGAN
Ally Morgan (she/her) is an award-winning writer, actor and musical comedian. Dubbed “a younger Tim Minchin” by the Sydney Morning Herald, she blends humour, music and heartfelt storytelling with LGBTQ+ representation. Her acclaimed works include the AACTA-nominated web series Girl Crush and award-winning stage show Not Today.

PASS PAUSE PLAY is a night where three songwriters come together to pass the mic, pause for a second to tell you a story, and then play their songs in one shared set.
Come along for a cosy gig with stripped back performances where songwriters can take the time to tell you a little more.
Entry is pay what you like (recommended $15) with 100% of funds going towards the artists.
