PASS PAUSE PLAY #11: I GET AROUND
Event description
🚂PASS PAUSE PLAY #11: I GET AROUND🚂
Between cities, stages, and practice rooms, the life of a songwriter is framed by rideshares, carpools, and affordable flights. These hours in transit provide time for songs to marinate as they rattle around in your mind, while also posing enormous logistical challenges to a musical life. This month's show will feature how different artists navigate this in their lives as songwriters. PASS PAUSE PLAY #11 will feature: Gailla, Maeve Grieve, & Maisie B.

GAILLA
Gailla creates golden folk-pop songs with joyful, rousing stories of climate, community and cycles. Soaring melodies, driving rhythms and magnetic lyrics weave together to ask you to dig deep through our past and feel into our future together with fresh hearts and ears. Expect a set of songs about corruption, burning leaves, hope, urban planning and more
MAEVE GRIEVE (TAS/VIC)
Maeve Grieve is a Melbourne-based singer, songwriter, and guitarist blending jazz, folk, and alternative rock into a distinctive, genre-defying sound. Originally from Tasmania, her music combines intricate guitar work with evocative, narrative-driven songwriting.
MAISIE B (SA)
Maisie B adores and craves connecting with others through the vulnerability of their music. An experienced performer and multi-instrumentalist, they seamlessly weave together their favourite elements of folk, jazz and alt pop to curate a sound that is texturally rich, emotionally charged and an intricate fusion of everything they love.
