The life of a touring songwriter is built through so many more spaces than you think. Wine bars, council halls, and 20 seat book shops, are essential for artists to hone their craft and connect with local audiences. In light of the closure of incubator venues like Moshpit and Lazy Thinking, this month’s edition will feature artists reflecting on the loss of these spaces. PASS PAUSE PLAY#19 will feature: Santino Salvatore and Mihka Chee.

SANTINO SALVATORE

Santino Salvadore is a Sydney-based pop-rock artist, singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and producer with a voice full of soul and a flair for the unexpected. Known as an "outside-the-box entertainer," Santino captivates audiences with a magnetic stage presence and an emotional punch that lingers long after the last note.

MIHKA CHEE

Mihka Chee, a Māori, Chinese, and Pākehā multi-instrumentalist hailing from Aotearoa, joined her first punk band at just 13, departing from her nerdy classical violin and piano roots. With the electrifying pop-rock band Ivy Lies, Mihka stormed the NZ music charts and racked up emerging artist awards with an album recorded in Los Angeles. Now rocking the Australian music landscape, Mihka shines as a solo powerhouse.
