Kia ora e te whānau,
We are delighted to invite you to our in-person event celebrating the launch of our #PassTheMic podcast and video series, created in collaboration with Storyo, Belong Aotearoa, PlanetFM and Sport Waitakere 🙌
#PassTheMic is about amplifying diverse voices, through storytelling that promotes inclusion, connection and a greater understanding of different experiences and perspectives. The podcasts are the third iteration of #PassTheMic.
Over the last few months, we've recorded episodes with 15 diverse people from migrant and former refugee backgrounds who share their experiences living in Aotearoa and some of the things that are important to them. You can find them all here and on Spotify, which cover a range of topics including culture, belonging, climate change, racism, mental health and much more.
🎉 Join us to celebrate the diversity of our ethnic communities, share delicious kai 🍕, hear from 3 speakers and watch (for the very first time) a mini-video series featuring some of the podcast guests and other awesome folks!
Note: The venue is wheelchair accessible and we will have chairs to sit on too. We are expecting to have around 60 people. If you have any questions or requirements, please contact us and we will make sure we accommodate them.
