PATCH Book Launch -Q&A
Event description
As the primary contributor to the PATCH book ‘How To Be Psychedelically Aware: The Essential Harm Reduction Guide to Psychedelic Use in Australia’ we are delighted to host Nick Palmer for its official launch.
Nick Palmer has been an APS volunteer since 2017, and was a committee member from 2018 until 2024. He is currently the secretary, treasurer and founding member of harm reduction organisation PATCH - the Psychedelically Aware Talking Circle Hub, which was formed in 2022 in response to several issues that had arisen in the psychedelic community over a number of years.
Nick, along with a group of seasoned experts, including mental health professionals, botanists, mycologists, philosophers, ethicists, and experienced psychonauts, produced the harm reduction manifesto "How to be Psychedelically Aware", which is intended as an education resource for those who are new to the psychedelic community. How to be Psychedelically Aware aims to answer all and any questions that a newcomer to psychedelics may have, and also provides a lot of advice that will be invaluable to anyone interested in the subject of psychedelics in Australia, regardless of their level of experience.
