Description

Join us at the Great Stupa of Universal Compassion for a special full-day symposium bringing together Buddhist leaders, scholars, and community representatives to explore this year’s theme through prayer, dialogue and shared wisdom.

The day will open with a Welcome to Country, followed by prayers from the Theravadin, Mahayana and Vajrayana traditions. Guests will then hear from a distinguished lineup of speakers, including Great Stupa Chairman Ian Green OAM, Karma Singye representing His Holiness the Dalai Lama, and our Chief Guest of Honour from the Victorian multicultural community.

Our keynote address will be delivered by Geshe Lhakdor, Director of the Library of Tibetan Works and Archives and former translator to His Holiness the Dalai Lama. Throughout the afternoon, a series of thought-provoking presentations from five invited speakers will offer diverse perspectives aligned to the symposium theme.

Two panel discussions will give attendees the chance to hear speakers engage in deeper conversation, respond to questions, and reflect on shared values of compassion, understanding, and connection.

This gathering offers an opportunity to learn, reflect and connect in the spiritually rich setting of the Great Stupa. All are welcome to attend.
