The Art of Holding Space: A Place to Create, Feel and Be Witnessed
Event description
🎨 THE ART OF HOLDING SPACE
A donation-based online creative gathering.
Mondays, 7:30–9:00pm AEST | Live on Google Meet
What if Monday evenings could be a soft place to land?
The Art of Holding Space is a 90-minute online creative gathering held every month for those craving connection, emotional expression, and gentle self-exploration through art.
Rooted in compassion, curiosity, and the wisdom of your inner world, these sessions invite you to show up just as you are. No art experience needed! Just your presence, a few materials, and a willingness to create.
🌙 Why Mondays?
Mondays are ruled by the Moon — the planetary goddess of emotion, intuition, and reflection.
We gather at the threshold of the week to begin with intention, creativity, and care.
✨ What to Expect
Grounding and arrival
A symbolic or expressive art invitation (30–40 mins of art-making)
Reflective and journal prompts
Connection (an exploration of our creation and process, with optional sharing in one-on-one dyads and the larger group)
A soft closing and integration ritual
💌 Why We Gather:
For ritual. To reconnect with soul. To create without pressure. To be held in community.
🌈 What to Bring
Arts Journal (e.g., watercolour or mixed-media paper, A4 or A3)
A blend of art materials for mixed media ( e.g., watercolours, coloured pencils, crayons, graphic markers, oil pastels, acrylics, collage bits, stickers)
A quiet space, a warm cup of tea, and maybe a candle
