Pathways Awarua Workshop with Michael Grawe
Event description
Ako Aotearoa is pleased to invite you to a free Pathways Awarua workshop, with Michael Grawe.
This workshop is suitable for educators from tertiary, secondary, ACE, alternative education and ESOL.
Pathways Awarua (www.pathwaysawarua.com) is a free, online learning platform developed by the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) and supported by the Ministry of Education (MoE).
It is designed to help adult, young adult, and teen learners improve their reading, writing, and maths skills for study, work, and everyday life. Over 500 modules of increasing difficulty are organised in pathways. These include reading, writing, and numeracy pathways, as well as pathways where literacy and numeracy are strengthened within applied contexts that are both familiar and useful (e.g., Road Code, Health and Safety, My Money).
This workshop will provide an in-depth look at how Pathways Awarua can support your learners and offer practical tips for incorporating it into your teaching. You’ll hear directly from Michael Grawe, Professional Learning Manager at Pathways Awarua, as he leads the session.
