On the heels of Green Industries South Australia (GISA) and the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA) launching the 'Circular Economy in the South Australian Built Environment Action Plan', the Adelaide Sustainable Building Network will be curating sessions to help develop a Circular Economy in the Built Environment nucleus, something identified as a key action item in the report. The nucleus aims to bring together government, like-minded industry groups and representatives and the education sector to increase knowledge and awareness of circular economy opportunities.

Circular economy initiatives are being implemented across South Australia by government and industry, with opportunities to share knowledge and skills readily available. Please join the Adelaide Sustainable Building Network in an engaging afternoon around how South Australia is currently implementing aspects of the circular economy in built environment projects, whilst also having a discussion on how we can further improve integration of circular economy outcomes going into the future.

Transitioning to a circular economy does not only amount to adjustments aimed at reducing the negative impacts of the linear economy. Rather, it represents a systemic shift that builds long-term resilience, generates business and economic opportunities, and provides environmental and societal benefits.
