Keeping safe while you're having fun:

We want everyone to enjoy a safe and fun Pauanui Pink Walk! Please note a few important details

We ask that you take care getting to and from the event on the day.
Participants must at all times give way to traffic while crossing roads, carparks, boat ramps and using footpaths. (Including bikes, scooters and other walkers while using footpaths).
While exiting the start area at the Pauanui Village Shopping Centre, please take extra care, listen to Marshalls, give way to traffic and cross the road with caution
While crossing the carpark at Billy Point, please take extra care, listen to Marshalls, give way to traffic and cross with caution
When leaving the finish area at Mac Mckenzie Memorial Park, please take extra care, listen to Marshalls, give way to traffic and make your way to the Pauanui Club lounge with caution
In the event of a minor injury on course please let a Marshall or "tail end Charlie" know, they will contact first aid officer (if needed) "tail end Charlie" will also carry a basic first aid kit for minor issues. In the event of a moderate injury on course, please let a Marshall, "tail end Charlie" or call event manager so we can organise first aid to come to you.
In the event of a major injury on course, please call 111 immediately and advise event manager. Please remember your sunblock and drinking water to stay sun safe
In the unlikely event of a Tsunami, please get yourself safely to the safe zone on Panorama Parade, please ensure you are aware of where the safe zone/Panorama Parade is located
In the unlikely event that we have a major weather event including but not limited to a cyclone predicted for the day of the Pauanui Pink Walk that may risk participants safety, the event will be cancelled
