Join us on August 20th as we welcome Carly Figgis, Business Development Officer at PBF Australia (Paraplegic Benefit Fund). Carly will be talking about the practical work PBF does to reduce the incidence and impact of permanent traumatic spinal cord injuries.

It is a serious topic, but the presentation will focus heavily on the proactive, on-the-ground programs they run to support the community.

She will take us through their injury prevention programs, which involve speakers sharing their lived experiences across youth, road, aqua, and workplace environments. Carly will also discuss the peer support mentors working directly with patients in Fiona Stanley Hospital's spinal ward, and give us a rundown of how their membership and gifting programs provide financial support for people adapting to life with a spinal cord injury.
