PBS AFTERNOON ALL AGES SHOW with Porpoise Spit and Hot Milk Machine
Event description
PBS is proud to present the Afternoon All Ages show on Saturday June 14 at The Cactus Room with Porpoise Spit and Hot Milk Machine.
This youth focused event will bring together some of our city's finest music makers - giving a space and opportunity for the next generation musicians and connections with local DIY musicians who are at the forefront of our independent music community.
Happening at Cactus Room in Thornbury on Saturday June 14, this alcohol-free event will take place across the daylight hours of 2pm - 4:30pm.
Porpoise Spit is a dynamic alternative rock band that blends heartfelt ballads, energetic rock anthems, thrashing guitars, and a socially progressive punk spirit. Over the past five years, the band has built a strong grassroots following within Melbourne's vibrant music community, playing over 250 shows alongside established acts like Cash Savage, Cable Ties, and Bad//Dreems. Their debut LP, Don't Quit, released in October 2023 was met with widespread acclaim and received airplay from major Australian stations like PBS, JJJ, RRR and 2SER. Extensive touring followed nationally, including sold-out shows and shows in New Zealand. In 2025 Porpoise Spit are at it again, now with an all-star team behind them and new music itching for release - it seems the year of the Porps just keeps on rolling. linktr.ee/porpoisespitband
Formed out of a Catholic all girls high school in 2022, Hot Milk Machine is a foaming four piece punk-rock and modern-grunge group taking Naarm/Melbourne by storm. From selling out The Whole Lotta Love Bar to headlining The Tote and KickFlip Festival, and even winning the 2024 Cosmic Jive: Battle of the Bands; Paige, Eva, Alannah, and Rosie are ready to rock your socks off! Hot Milk Machine will be releasing their debut single “Please (Let Me Get What I Want)” in July. linktr.ee/hotmilkmachine
