PONY CLUB GYM - SELF DEFENCE COURSE
This is a practical self defence class suitable for all levels, no prior experience required.
It will run for 8 weeks, Nov 1st to Dec 20th, each Wednesday from 7:30pm to 8:30pm. Our experienced coach has many years coaching and fighting experience at both professional and amateur level in disciplines including Boxing, Muay Thai, Kickboxing and Jiu-Jitsu. You will learn how to punch, kick and grapple effectively in street situations.
You do not need to be fit or conditioned for this class – it will focus on an 8 week program comprised of simple techniques to de-escalate and survive combat. Each week will build on the previous and so it requires an 8 week commitment rather than operating as a weekly standalone “drop in” type class; there will not be time to offer extra help during class times to those who miss a week to catch up with techniques they missed. It is not a workout or boxercise style class, and will instead be focusing on learning and drilling skills. All you need to bring are comfortable clothing and shoes!
