Description

About the Event

Join The Compassionate Care Collective for a special National Palliative Care Week screening of Rethinking Dementia and End-of-life Care, featuring Dr Michael Chapman and presented by Palliative Care Australia. Dementia and end-of-life experiences touch every family and every community, yet many people feel unprepared, unsupported, or unsure where to turn for guidance. This event creates a gentle, accessible space to deepen understanding, reduce fear, and strengthen our collective capacity to care.

By coming together — carers, health professionals, community members, volunteers, and service providers — we build shared language, shared knowledge, and shared compassion. Events like this help strengthen our community so no one has to navigate dementia, dying, or grief alone.

Come early for a cuppa, stay for the screening and conversation, and connect with local experts and pick up valuable resources. Everyone is welcome — carers, family members, health workers, neighbours, and anyone curious about how we can better support one another through dementia, dying, and grief.

12:00 - 12:30pm: Doors open, time for a cuppa and settle in

12:30 - 1:30pm: Live screening of Dr Michael Chapman's presentation

1:30 - 2:00pm: Reflect, connect and collect resources and information
