Professional Learning Focus:
Years 7—10 HaSS curriculum ’Geography focus’ on content, skills and programs
Target audience: HaSS School Teachers - TEACHING GEOGRAPHY
Note: Participants are asked to bring Geography work samples for discussion.
These can include activities, assessments, mapping skills and/or fieldwork.
Program includes:
• update on SCSA HaSS Geography
• Years 7 - 10 HaSS Geography syllabus
• sample programs, assessments, lesson tasks and useful web sites
• fieldwork and mapping skills workshop
• The Water Corporation: Year 7 — Water in the World
