PD#4 Coastal & Marine Environment Fieldwork

Engage in various activities to enhance your knowledge of costal & marine environments as case studies for delivery of the Year 8 & 10 Geography and Year 11 General Geography (Unit 1) content and experience meaningful ways to teach it.

Participate in demonstration of various hands on coastal fieldwork activities and consider how to incorporate these excursion ideas into your own Year 8, Year 10 or Year 11 General Geography programs for 2026.

Learn from experienced presenters who will guide us though coastal fieldwork activities and speak about the ecology of the Shoalwater Island Marine Park, as well as considerations of human activity and land use, and sustainability relevant to aspects across the Year 8 and Year 10 Geography WA Curriculum and Year 11 General Geography (Unit 1) Syllabus.
