Do you work in a public-facing role? Are you the first person people meet when they contact your workplace?
We have the training for you! Increase you capacity and confidence in providing a welcoming environment for Deaf and Disabled people with our most popular training.
We will cover:
Disability representation,
Stereotypes and language,
How to create welcoming environments,
Practical tips for welcoming all visitors,
Tips for increasing Deaf and Disabled visitor participation.
This training is designed for front-of-house staff, customer and/or visitor services and people who interact with the public. But it is also awareness-raising for staff at all levels in the public or arts sectors. There's something for everyone!
Join us at the Arts Access Victoria offices in South Melbourne at 2 pm for 2 hours of jam-packed learning. There will be afternoon tea during the break. Please don’t forget to let us know your dietary requirements.
Training is delivered depending on the number of participants.
When: Wednesday 23 July, 2 - 4 pm
Where: Arts Access Victoria, 222 Bank St, South Melbourne
Cost: $150 pp (afternoon tea provided)
Access: Wheelchair accessible, accessible toilet, Auslan Interpreted, quiet space, assistance animals welcome.
