Students at the University of Sydney are invited to join Bridget Cama, Co-Chair of the Uluru Youth Dialogue, for a special student Yarning Circle to learn more about Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Voice and upcoming referendum. She will be joined by Ben McGrory, SRC Indigenous officer.

This Yarning Circle will give students the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the Voice and the 2023 referendum.

The session is brought to you by the University of Sydney’s Peace Foundation, DVC ISS, the Student Union and the Student Representative Council.

Bridget Cama is a Wiradjuri First Nations and Pasifika Fijian woman who was born and grew up in Lithgow, NSW and has connections to the Cudgegong River just outside of Mudgee. She a Council Member for the Sydney Peace Foundation. Bridget has been working with the Uluru Dialogue since March 2019, is an associate of the Indigenous Law Centre at UNSW and legal support team to the Uluru Dialogue. Bridget is also the Co-Chair of the Uluru Youth Dialogue alongside Allira Davis, who work closely to provide a national platform for First Nations youth voices to be heard in the Uluru movement and in First Nations affairs more broadly.

Benjamin McGrory is a Proud LGBT+ Cammeraigal man. Benjamin is the 95th SRC First Nations Officer and Sydney Arts Student Society First Nations Officer. Benjamin previously served on the FASS and Sydney Law School ISSC advocating for First Nations Voice and student affairs. Benjamin is passionate about First Nations representation in systems of Government and International Relations. Benjamin is currently working with the @youth4thevoice campaign to empower young people to have the resources and skills to have respectful fact based yarns around the Voice.
