The Albanese government claims that it needs a decade to decide whether nuclear attack submarines will be based in Port Kembla.
Before the government delayed the announcement, Port Kembla was the favoured site for an east coast nuclear submarine base.
Nothing has changed since, so:
- What has the government been doing all this time?
- What are the risks to the Illawarra from being a potential nuclear target to being a dumping ground for nuclear waste?
- What can the community do to keep the Illawarra safe?
