Peace Run Rainbow Choir is back in 2025! An inclusive, fun, social singalong run by Sunshine Coast based artists Andrea Kirwin and Angela Newcomb, this choir group is all about having a great time together while singing songs by LGBTQIA+ artists and songs based on love, unity and joy. Choir terms begin with the QLD school term dates and run for 10 weeks at a time. Rehearsals are $20/week and we meet in Nambour at The Presynct live music venue upstairs on Ann St from 6.30pm - 7.30pm with light snacks provided each week. The final 10th week rehearsal of each term is always an open concert where we perform the songs we've learnt together and dress up in all of our glittery glory and put on our own VIP party with photographer and party food! Family and friends are welcome to attend with a ticket price of $15 entry to cover catering and also welcome to join in singing with everyone. It's a really joyful and fun experience with a dance party for an hour post concert.

Term 1 Dates:

1st Rehearsal: Tuesday 21 January and running weekly til open rehearsal on Tuesday 25 March (week 10).

Each term we learn 6 - 8 songs chosen by Andrea and Angela and also by Choir members and past set lists have included popular songs by George Michael, Elton John, Chappell Roan, Tracy Chapman, Stevie Wonder and more. If you would like to drop in for a casual lesson you can bring $25 cash and join but pay by the term is preferable for the organisers. Andrea and Angela will take turns running the choir depending on who is available with touring schedules. And opportunities arise for the Peace Run Choir to perform with other artists and at events and Festivals so this is also something that Choir members can choose to participate in if they are keen!
