Peaceful Civil Resistance Training - Ōtepoti Dunedin
Event description
We need to grow a community of civil resistance in 2024! This time in human history is calling you to step up! Join a group of like-minded people on Tuesday 26 March 6pm-8pm so a short Peaceful Civil Resistance Training session.
These trainings are playful, engaging, and connecting experiences. You'll not only learn practical skills, but also step into a community of peaceful civil resistance. Every one is welcome!
Expect to get involved in fun and challenging exercises and discussions - this is not a lecture! The training will also be valuable for team building, and building solidarity and trust between people, so feel encouraged to come if you've already done a training, or aren't even sure if you want to ever do direct action.
Please note, that we ask people to plan to participate for the entire time. The crises we face are increasing in severity so please reschedule other commitments to prioritise attending for the full time, and do your best to arrive a bit before 10am so we can all start on time together.
This training is co-facilitated by Climate Liberation Aotearoa and Extinction Rebellion Ōtepoti Dunedin but the skills we learn will be applicable to any kind of peaceful civil resistance actions. All Welcome.
