Event description

Peach Season is a contemporary dance theatre show and environmental learning project in the making. Join us for a free afternoon of activities, dance and learning that will help us to develop this project.

Children and their families will watch the Peach Season performance, meet the dancers, participate in fun activities and share thoughts about their experience.

This is a unique and exciting opportunity to be part of the process of making a performance. Giving children an inside look at how performances are created as well as a fun and engaging afternoon.

Each family will be asked to complete a survey after the event which will inform the development of Peach Season as we progress towards our premiere in 2025.

Peach Season The Show

Peach Season is a whimsical and quirky dance theatre work centring around a young girl Lily and her beloved peach tree. When the peach tree becomes sick an exciting journey begins as Lily sets out to find what will save her tree.

Become immersed in the magical world of peach season where unlikely friendships, wondrous new places and the mysterious powers of nature bring our characters closer to their goal.

Blending fantasy and environmental activism, this work unfolds as a heartfelt story of hope, courage, and resilience of the human spirit in the face of a changing world. Just like in Roald Dahl’s James and the Giant Peach the characters in our story will learn that it is through friendship and working together that we can overcome immense challenges.

With thanks
