If you’re someone who enjoys a gentle, easy-going experience on the trails, the Relaxed Hiker category is perfect for you. These hikes are designed to be low-impact, covering distances of 5–7 kilometres at a leisurely pace. Frequent stops along the way give you plenty of opportunities to soak in the scenery, chat with fellow hikers, and take a breather whenever needed.

While these hikes are slower-paced and beginner-friendly, it’s important to have a basic level of fitness and stamina to keep up with the group so that everyone can enjoy the experience. If you’re new to bushwalking but feel you’re not quite ready to tackle the trails just yet, don’t worry...this can be the perfect opportunity to begin your fitness journey!

Join us for a stunning hike from Blairgowrie to Rye! This adventure features a mix of beach walks (not too much) and cliff-top paths, with the breathtaking Bass Strait by our side the entire way. Feel the invigorating salty air as we navigate the narrow coastal track, with waves crashing below us. This hike offers a little workout due to a sandy track at times and uneven ground. You will be paired with great company....Don't miss out on this unforgettable experience!

WHAT TO EXPECT FROM THE WALK:

- Beach walking

WHAT TO BRING:

- Water

- Snack. Ie: Banana, high protein snack, Jam sandwich.

- Electrolyte energy drink

WHAT TO WEAR:

- A good pair of walking shoes is necessary, which could be hiking shoes or boots. It is recommended to avoid jogging runners as they may not provide enough grip, although it is not a strict requirement. No open toe shoes.

- Decent socks. Ie: a mix of wool, nylon & elastane. Non bulky (Visit hiking stores)

- Compact lightweight jacket - optional

IMPORTANT INFORMATION:

This walk is NOT suitable for children under 12, babies in carriers or for people who do not walk more than 5km’s at a time. This is a National Park, therefore no dogs or animals allowed.
