Peel Bright Minds Science Cafe: Creatures of the Deep

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

At this event we're combining two of our favourite things - yummy food and fascinating conversations.

Let us shout you afternoon tea while we discover some of the weird, wonderful, and lesser-known critters of the estuary and wetlands.

During this casual meet-up, we'll hear from scientists from Murdoch University about the tiny critters that are worth flying all the way from the North Pole for (according to migratory shorebirds, that is) and about a migratory fish species that is rarely seen but impossible to forget (clue – they have lots of teeth, but they’re not sharks).

This event is part of the Peel-Harvey Catchment Council's Wetlands Weekender, a festival of activities celebrating the Peel-Harvey's Ramsar wetlands. Learn more about what's on over the weekend here: https://peel-harvey.org.au/wet...
