Brisbane, come and join us for a fun peer group get-together!

If you're a person with intellectual disability, or a carer or family member, this event is especially for you.

Our Stand by Me team will be hosting fun activities, there'll be something to eat, and a great chance to meet new people.

Peer groups are a fantastic way for people to make friends, and find support and understanding.

We'd love to see you, so register now! The event is FREE and everyone is welcome.

At the first meeting hear stories from people living independently and how they have managed; a parent will also talk about the housing she has set up for her daughter.

Future meetings will explore things like:

Housing options what is out there
Skills needed to live away from home
Staying safe in your home

At each meeting, there will be information from guest speakers as well as time for you to tell your story and connect with others.

Please RSVP by Thursday 11th August for catering purposes. You will be asked about any dietary needs when you register.

Please note: this event will be as Covid-safe as we are able to manage. You are welcome to wear a mask or take whatever other precautions will make you comfortable.
