The door opens at 6.45pm and class starts at 7 pm sharp and runs for 2 hours. Peer Rope Melbourne & Peer Rope Byron Bay Classes are purely a tuition program dedicated to the beautiful art form of Shibari / Kinbaku, it is not a BDSM group and does not organise play parties.

Avalon is the head instructor for Peer Rope Melbourne and one of Australia's pioneers of Japanese rope, studying Shibari in Japan since 2008 with leading Japanese Masters

Avalon does his best to keep faith in traditional Japanese bondage where mind, edge and predicament play, combined with an organic aesthetic element are key factors of the tying process.
