Peggys Beach Connecting With Country Walk

Nestled along Electrona’s coastline, Peggys Beach Reserve offers a serene coastal retreat.

Join Nicole King, from the South East Tasmanian Aboriginal Corporation (SETAC), and Bridget Jupe, from Kingborough Council, for a guided nature walk where you’ll gain a deeper understanding of the land. We begin with an Acknowledgement of Country, honouring the traditional custodians and their connection to this place.

From a First Nations perspective, you’ll learn about the rich plant life within the reserve, including traditional knowledge of native plants and their uses. As we journey through the landscape, you’ll also uncover the history of the reserve and explore how it has been used and cared for over the ages.

Bookings are essential through this Humanitix as places are limited. This will be a popular event with a waitlist of people eager to come along. If you have booked a ticket and can no longer come, please remember to cancel your ticket so someone else can come. You will receive a refund up to 1 day before the event.

• What to Bring: Water, snack, sturdy shoes, waterproofs (just in case) and binoculars (optional)

• Accessibility: A slow walk on a track with some uneven narrow sections and cliff edges.
