Pen & Watercolour Travel Sketching
Event description
Ever wondered about watercolour painting? This workshop is ideal for absolute beginners.
Learn the basics of watercolour painting so that you
can confidently document the world around you – much more engaging than taking photos you never look at again!
You will take home several works of art, a palette and a water brush. You will learn about the materials needed, ideas for creating your own portable kit, as well as many painting and process tips and techniques.
All materials are provided, but bring along some of your favourite snaps of places you love as reference material.
ABOUT THE PRESENTER:
Donna Gordge is a multi-disciplinary artist working from her home studio in Adelaide. Her work includes sculpture and installation, collage, and artists books - often incorporating textiles techniques in non-traditional ways. Her recent work explores identity, grief and loss associated with both death and aging. Donna often works with found objects and recycled materials because of the life they've already had.
Donna has also been an arts educator for 29 years. Since completing a Bachelor of Education (Visual Arts), she has taught in schools, aged care settings, TAFE and community-based adult learning environments.
