PEN/Malamud Award Ceremony ft. David Means
Event description
The PEN/Bernard and Ann Malamud Award for Excellence in the Short Story is one of the nation’s most distinguished prizes for the short story. This year, we are honoring David Means in a ceremony that will feature a reading, a conversation with author Tope Folarin, and remarks by Janna Malamud Smith, Bernard and Ann Malamud’s daughter. The ceremony will be followed by a book signing and a reception with light refreshments. Politics & Prose will provide on-site book sales.
This evening is hosted in partnership with the MFA Program in Creative Writing at American University.

The ceremony will be held in the Abramson Family Founders Room at the School of International Service.
