SCAPE Public Art
Event description
Back by popular demand!
Get creative with SCAPE Public Art these school holidays in response to the sculpture He Toki Maitai by New Brighton artist Jon Jeet.
First, children (and grown-ups) will watch a short video about the sculpture.
Then we will each make a pendant inspired by the artwork.
This engaging hands-on activity for children and young people will be delivered by SCAPE Public Art’s educator, Sarah Ackerley.
Limited places available. Book early as these workshops fill fast.
Cost: $12 per child, including booking fee.
Good to know:
- This workshop is suitable for all ages, but younger children may benefit from adult supervision (supervising adults do not need to book).
- We are running the same workshop twice on 1 October. If one is booked out, try the other.
- If you attended a SCAPE school holiday workshop at the New Brighton library in July, this workshop is identical.
- He Toki Maitai is located next to the Roy Stokes Community Hall, 146 Seaview Road, New Brighton. Public art is free and open to view any time.
